Kim Reed
Office Manager, Co-Owner
As the "wearer of many hats" and co-owner of Reed Family Wealth Services, I manage the inner workings of our office while ensuring that our clients have a comfortable and enriching experience. Alongside Wes, I care deeply for the individuals and families we serve and am dedicated to helping them safeguard their financial futures.
My background in hospitality has instilled in me an empathetic mindset and a desire to create a welcoming environment for our clients. Before joining the firm, I spent a decade as a restaurant manager in Magic Kingdom, where I learned the importance of exceptional service. I then transitioned to real estate, where I found great success and further honed my skills in client relations.
In 1985, I moved to Florida from northeastern Pennsylvania with my parents. I graduated from West Orange High School in Winter Garden, FL, and met Wes while participating in the Walt Disney World College Program. Both of my parents worked at Disney for 30 years, so it felt natural for me to follow in their footsteps. As a side note, Wes helped my parents retire early, allowing them to enjoy a happy and comfortable retirement.
I’m passionate about the service and hospitality industry, as well as sales. Throughout my career, I’ve always incorporated a strong focus on service, whether managing a restaurant or working as a real estate agent. When Wes became a financial advisor and started his own firm, it made perfect sense for me to join him. We both realized, "Who else would care as much about your clients as I would?" And so, my journey with Reed Family Wealth Services began.
I bring my hospitality experiences and compassion for others to RFWS, where we are committed to fostering a family-oriented community. When I'm not working, I love to read everything and anything. I also enjoy exploring new restaurants in the Central Florida area, cooking, and trying new recipes. In my free time, you can find me attending shows at the Dr. Phillips Center, embracing local tourism activities, or cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning. Wes and I also love traveling to the Keys, where we got married.
We are very involved in the local community, and my favorite fundraising events include Taste of Central Florida and anything related to Hospice. Our deep roots in the community and dedication to our clients make Reed Family Wealth Services a place where everyone feels like family.
